Village Enterprise was granted a two-year renewal of its $10,000 unrestricted grant. In 2016, Village Enterprise experienced outstanding outcome success, regional expansion, and continued recognition for its thought leadership as an innovator in the poverty graduation sector. Looking forward to the close of FY 2017 and into FY 2018, VE will continue this leadership trajectory with its selection as the global pilot for the highly innovative Development Impact Bond. Additionally, through its new Flagship Partner – Lwala Community Alliance – VE will train an additional 4200 entrepreneurs via an expansion into Kenya. Other exciting development include new formal linkages between the Business Saving Groups (BSGs) and the replication of its model through the self-funding Village Enterprise Accelerator.
