In Q3 2022, Esperanza Juvenil was granted $10,000 to help academically motivated Guatemalan children and youth rise above disadvantaged backgrounds and become successful in school. Staff will focus on leveling students academically to fill important learning gaps from the past two years. Crucial skills in subjects like mathematics, language (reading and writing) and English are priorities, as well as personalized social-emotional support.
