Working With International Media
Explore the ins and outs of working with international media with Cristi Hegranes, Chief Executive Officer, Publisher and Founder of Global Press. A former foreign correspondent, Hegranes founded Global Press in 2006, building the organization on the principle that world news should be reported by indigenous women in the global communities where they live. Global Press team members are reporters, editors, educators, and international development professionals operating in 13 countries around the world.
About The West Foundation Community Convenings:
The West Foundation’s Community Convenings foster a safe and supportive space for practitioners from across all sectors to come together to explore new models of social impact, connect with thought partners, and brainstorm solutions to barriers faced in your work. Through carefully chosen topics (often solicited from our grantees) we’ll delve into topics impacting the day-to-day operations of nonprofit practitioners.
The goal for each Convening is to shape and amplify the work you do as dedicated advocates of poverty elimination. By accelerating skillsets and fostering new ideas regarding social progress for the Global South, and connecting people to potential new partners, we hope to foster increased connectivity and collaboration in the sector of social development.
